  1. Inhaling steam:

Uses a pot filled with hot water and hold your face on that pot while covering your head with a towel to trap steam. Keep breathing till 10 minutes in that steam. You can rub vix around your nose and on your forehead and then inhale the steam. You can also put eucalyptus oil and menthol drops in hot water before taking steam.

  1. Use of Garlic:

Garlic is a natural source of antibacterial and antiseptic qualities. It is very effective for runny nose. It can use directly or with water. Use two or three cloves of garlic boil in a cup of water till it bubbles stine it and drink it by adding sugar according to taste. Use garlic supplements on daily basis if you have constant issue of runny nose. Garlic can be chewed as well in form of small piece and can be used twice and thrice daily.

  1. Use of Ginger:

Ginger also provides quick relief from runny nose because it contains antioxidants, antiallergic and antifungal properties. It provides instant relief during runny nose. Boil one spoon of ginger powder in hot water and inhale the steam. Cut ginger in thin slices boil it in a cup of water and make a soup put little honey in it and stain it and drink this soup three or four times.

  1. Use of Salty Water:

Salt dissolved in water is also good and helpful for clearing excess mucus. Use 1/2 tsp of salt in distilled water. By using a dropper pore few drop in your nostril while your head is tilted back. Inhale slowly to clear the passage in your nostril. Blow your nose to clear the excess mucus and solution. Repeat is couple of times a day if you feel improvement.

PRECAUTIONS:

Some of precautions to avoid a runny nose are:

  • Try to cover your nose if you have dust allergic while cleaning home or where dust mites exist
  • Avoid animal contact
  • Use soft and good quality tissues
  • Avoid those medicines which have side effects to create a runny nose
  • Drink lots of fluids
  • Use pillow to prop your head up while in condition of a runny nose.
